EGGSELLENT EASTER FUNDAY MONDAY

Easter Funday Monday was filled with fun and games all round. A little drizzle didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit, it just made it all the more fun. Everybody had a blast and guests have been raving about it ever since. There were prizes galore ranging from Easter eggs to a trip to the Reef with Passions of Paradise. Take a look at some of the pictures, and maybe you’ll be with us to celebrate Easter next year.

ZOE'S STORY
Zoe, a journalist from South Australia and her boyfriend Andy have taken some time out from work and are spending the next few months travelling Australia. They stayed with us at Cairns Holiday Park and Zoe very kindly wrote an article for our newsletter. Each month we will update you with more about her time spent here with us and her adventures in Cairns.
“When we drove into Cairns Holiday Park in our van we didn't really know what to expect. We had not heard a lot about the park, other than its award for the best four star caravan park in Australia, and that it is very close to the city centre. Walking into the reception, we were greeted with smiles as Roz and Bob gave us an overview of the park and handed us a bevy of information on the local sites and activities. They showed the kind of hospitality and service that is rarely seen in accommodation frequented by back-packers.
We decided to get settled in before making our way to the esplanade for lunch. As we walked through the park we started to get a feel of the park atmosphere; there was no rubbish anywhere, the sites looked well cared for and, as it was getting towards lunch, it seemed the whole park had congregated in the camp kitchen. This was the kind of place we wanted to be staying in.
Later, Anna in the reception helped us to organise our week, which included Minjin Swings, bungy jumping, snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, white water rafting, and skydiving. She was just lovely and friendly.”
Next month you can read about Zoe doing her first bungy jump at AJ Hackett.
